Poetry: Drowning🌊 (Heartbreak? : How it feels, How to come over?)

πŸ’”

There was an incident that took her breath away, It was like she began to sway,Β

She was swimming with someone where everyone around, But suddenly all left and no-one surrounds,Β

The ocean waves pulled her deeper, deeper into the sea,Β She wanted to flee,Β

She was feeling claws raking at the inside of her throat, She wanted to get out of this, but couldn’t find any boat,Β

Her breath came in sudden gasps and then she was not able to breathe,Β She tried to swim and wanted to go up but waves pulled her in depth,Β

She struggled to keep her nose above the water, She called for help but no-one there,Β

She was feeling plastic wrap around her flailing limbs,Β She felt like soft underbellies of some Marine creature at her fingertips,Β

She screamed in pain, fluttered her hands, tried to clutch her toes,Β But no-one was there to save her from that high and low tides,Β

Then suddenly she stopped trying, And wanted to die,Β

She was thinking by dying she can get rid of that pain,Β Then she was floating like a dead body drowned deep in ocean,Β

Suddenly her family picture clicked in her mind,Β She was able to see that they were waiting for her in either side,

She has to find path to reach the shore,Β They see her with brighten eyes, want her in their side,Β

Now She realises that her loved ones have been there not left her behind,Β They still cheer her up from that side,Β

Now again she starts trying to swim in the middle of the ocean,Β She keeps telling herself “I need to swim” ,Β

She is fighting with that sensation,Β She wants to reach her destination,

And still trying ……

she is still learning to float, She doesn’t want to feel choked, She wants to exhale, She is trying to stay away from her drowning thoughts,Β  And sunshine is waiting to kiss her skin,Β

Maybe life is the journey of swimming in the middle ocean ….Β
